Thank you for your interest in the Mr. Anvil Phoenix 2026 Title Contest.

This contest isn’t about looking a certain way or checking every box — it’s about showing up and representing the Arizona leather community with confidence, integrity, and authenticity. We’re looking for someone who can handle the spotlight, connect meaningfully with the community, and rise to challenges with professionalism and presence.

Being Mr. Anvil Phoenix means more than wearing a sash. It means being visible, approachable, and engaged — both locally and nationally. The titleholder represents the community at events, supports local and out-of-state initiatives, and helps uphold the traditions and standards that make this title meaningful.

This application includes a mix of fun, thoughtful questions along with some required formal language. Nothing here is meant to feel intimidating — these steps exist to ensure expectations are clear, everyone is treated fairly, and the contest, titleholder, and community are protected.

If you’re ready to step up and embrace the experience, we’re excited to see what you bring to the table.

CONTESTANT AGREEMENT & RELEASE

Leather Journal Ad

By applying to the Mr. Anvil Phoenix Title Contest, I understand that participation may involve public appearances, travel, and community engagement. I agree to release and hold harmless the owners, producers, organizers, sponsors, and volunteers of the Mr. Anvil Phoenix contest, the Anvil bar, and The Arizona Men of Leather from any claims or liabilities that may arise in connection with my participation.

I grant permission for my stage/scene name or legal name (as designated by me) to be used in publicity, promotion, marketing, and documentation related to the Mr. Anvil Phoenix contest, the title year, and related events.

All official title insignia (including sash and any loaned equipment or clothing) remain the property of the contest. Loaned items must be returned upon request or at the end of the title year. I agree to provide appropriate restitution for any items lost or damaged due to my negligence.

TITLE RESPONSIBILITIES & REMOVAL

Winning the Mr. Anvil Phoenix title carries responsibilities. If at any point I am unable to fulfill those responsibilities, I understand I may be asked to return prizes or step aside so the title may continue to be represented fully and effectively.

The contest reserves the right to remove the titleholder if conduct, availability, or performance is inconsistent with title expectations. In such cases, the First Runner-Up may be named Mr. Anvil Phoenix for the remainder of the title year.

The contest committee will work collaboratively with the titleholder whenever possible to address challenges or conflicts.

EXPECTATIONS FOR LOCAL INVOLVEMENT

A core part of the Mr. Anvil Phoenix title is showing up locally — supporting the spaces, events, and people that define our community.

  • Appearing with the Arizona Men of Leather in the Phoenix Pride Parade (October)
  • Appearances at major AML events and fundraisers
  • Serving as a judge at the Mr. Anvil Phoenix 2027 Title Contest (tentatively April 2027)

Scheduling conflicts will be handled collaboratively with the contest committee

  • Palm Springs Leather Pride Weekend (October 2026)
